Mission August 2009

A hot month--for the most part, made us wish we could be at the beach!

Our daily walks go past City Creek!

The one cool week-end, we did a walking tour around Temple Square.

Brigham Young's gravesite and statues.

Interesting facade on this old building!
Dad in front of the Social Hall Museum, which wasn't open.

We had a branch picnic up Parley's Canyon and a program about raptors, birds of prey.

Hawk

Blue Macaw (not really a raptor--but cool)

An owl

Falcon

Another falcon

About the middle of the month, we went to Cache Valley with Elder and Sister Sandum.

Logan Temple

Set for "Martin Harris Pageant"

Marcia's birthday, August 18th.

JACOB's birthday, August 24th

Mexican themed zone social. Jeff Anderson and his wife provided the entertainment. Jeff is one of the archivists on our floor.

Bill with John Laing, they were mission companions in Germany over 40 years ago. John is the branch president of the other missionary branch.

Yes, I change the decorations each month. It is a "holiday" tree.
